In English as in French, a WISHBONE is the boom on a windsurfing board. It helps steer the board, overcome obstacles, and provides balance... analogies that can also apply to the dynamic business world!

The idea came up a few years ago to create a portal that would group individuals and/or businesses who could share their respective and collective expertise with established or future businesses in order to support them in reaching and exceeding their goals.

Many successful managers agree that at some point in their career, they had the opportunity to meet a mentor who provided attentive listening and priceless advice. In addition to its mercantile mission, WMGMT offers its managers' knowledge to support the development of our future business leaders. Our approach is based on balance and a perfect mix of Observation, Reflection, and Action.

The basis of our approach is greatly inspired by the OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide and Act) which is a concept originally applied to the combat operations process. It is now applied to understand commercial operations and learning process. The concept was developed by military strategist and USAF Colonel John Boyd.

Boyd developed the concept to explain how to direct one’s energies to defeat an adversary and survive. Boyd emphasized that «the loop» is actually a set of interacting loops that are to be kept in continuous operation. The diagram illustrates that all decisions are based on observations of the evolving situation tempered with implicit filtering of the problem being addressed. The observations are the raw information of which decisions and actions are based.

Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a nice guy is like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian.
